Researchers at the University of Buckingham are exploring whether people who live with chronic pelvic pain experience changes to their identity and whether this is associated with psychological factors. It also explores the degree to which pain interferes with their daily lives.

Who can participate?

You may be eligible to participate if you are:

  • aged 18 years or older,
  • living with pelvic pain related to a diagnosed or suspected gynaecological condition (such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, PID, PCS etc.) for 6 months or more, and
  • not living with any other pain conditions.

What does the research involve?

The study involves completing a 20 minute online survey that asks questions about pelvic pain and its impacts on your life, identity, mental health and the way that you think about your pain.
